From the very beginning of its urbanization, Žvėrynas district was characterized by its irregularly shaped, “yellow bricks” perimeter building structure in the newly planned street structure. Architects were determined to extend and redefine this urban setting. The building consists of several volumes. All of the facades near the streets do not exceed three floors. At the corner of Kęstučio g. and Vykinto g., a transparent glazed cube is built the same height as the building next to it. It replicates the volume of the building in Kęstučio g. 4 and maintains the perimeter line of the street. Another two-story volume is located inside, and marks the recession of the houses next to it from the perimeter of the streets. The other part of the building are adhacent to Vykinto g., in the western part of the plot, where there used to be another building. The building is a bit set back from Vykinto g. in order to emphasize its multiplicity and preserve the existing trees. As a metaphor for Žvėrynas’ forest, three fir trees were preserved between the buildings in Kęstučio g. They are replicated in the glass cube. Floating fifth floor volume gives the final touch to the composition. The cube at the junction reflects the surrounding timber and brick buildings. The fifth floor is separated from the three-floor part by the “thallium” at the level of the fourth floor. On the ground floor of the glass cube, there is a lobby. Above it, on the second and third floors, there are spaces for offices. They are connected to the main building by a glazed bridge, where the resto of the work spaces are located. In the glass cube all main vertical communications are arranged: staircase and elevators, rising up to the fifth floor and going all the way down to the underground car park. Everywhere else work spaces, café and meeting rooms are located. On the top floor of the building, there are executive offices.
