The territory is in the centre of Vilnius, next to the old “Žalgiris” stadium, which is now being re-developed. The territory was abandoned; there were many small plots and houses. Possibilities for development arose after finishing a detailed plan, combining plots and making them suitable for development and establishing proper regulations for them. The scheme consists of four buildings, three of them are residential and one is a hotel. All of the housings are connected by one underground two-level parking. Using the slope of the land surface, the entrance to the first level of the underground parking lot is installed directly from the inner street. At the same time, an inner courtyard for residents is on the car park roof top. Since the courtyard is higher than the surrounding street, it creates an enclosed and cozy environment. The entire super structure is designed using precast concrete panels. This ensures both good thermal insulation and excellent acoustic performance. The project was developed in collaboration with TBAB Architect’s Office.
